This past weekend I watched a great movie with some friends. I’m not a huge movie watcher, and especially when I’ve never heard of the movie, but even though I was a bit leary I watched it anyway. I’m glad I did! I was won over by the end and I’ve been recommending watching it to people since then - I enjoyed it that much!
So you’re wondering what this amazing movie is right? Well it’s August Rush, a movie about an orphaned boy and the music he hears that connects the world and his parents to him. It’s got a very interesting cast, Jonathan Rhys Meyers, Keri Russell, Robin Williams, and Freddie Highmore to name a couple of the actors but it comes together well.
The movie is a bit cheesy so be prepared - but it’s definitely a little sad, and a little heartwarming all in one. I think my background in music connected me to the movie, but I think it grabs a bit of the musical dreamer in all of us.
I even got the soundtrack earlier this week so I could rock it out in the office - I really “Bari Improv” and “Ritual Dance” both by Kaki King.

Check it out and let me know what you think in the comments. What are other movies your family has enjoyed?
Have a great week.
